Vivo Y02s launched in Indonesia: Price, features and more


After the launch of the Y02s smartphone in August, vivo unveiled another smartphone under the series in Indonesia. Dubbed Y02, the handset comes as the vanilla version of the series of the same name and packs an octa-core chipset, 3GB of RAM and a 5,000mAh battery.
Vivo Y02s: price and availability
Vivo has launched the smartphone in two colors: Cosmic Gray and Orchid Blue. It only comes in one variant with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The handset costs IDR 1,499,000 (approximately Rs 7,783). The smartphone is currently available for purchase in Indonesia through online retailer Shopee. Apart from that, it will also be available for purchase through Tokopedia and the company’s official website.
Vivo has also not confirmed anything about launching the smartphone in other regions. However, if the device ever arrives in India, it will compete with Realme C-series smartphones, Redmi A1 and others.
Vivo Y02s: specifications and features
The Vivo Y02s has a 6.51-inch HD+ LCD display with a cutout for the selfie camera. The company has not revealed the exact make and model of the chipset powering the handset. However, Vivo’s official Indonesian website mentions that it is an octa-core chipset.
The smartphone comes with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of onboard storage which can be further expanded by up to 1 TB via a microSD card.
In terms of the camera, the Vivo Y02s features a 5MP selfie camera and a single 8MP rear camera along with an LED flash.

The smartphone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery and comes with a microUSB charging port that supports charging speeds of up to 10W. The Vivo Y02s also comes with a 3.5mm audio jack.
The handset runs Android 12 Go Edition operating system under FuncTouch OS 12 custom user interface.
