vivo Y02 goes official with 6.51″ screen and 5,000 mAh battery


vivo launched the Y02s in August and now the company has unveiled the vanilla model called vivo Y02.

The vivo Y02 is powered by an unknown octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. It runs Android 12 Go Edition-based Funtouch OS 12 out of the box and has 32 GB of internal storage, expandable up to 1 TB via microSD card.

The vivo Y02 is built around a 6.51-inch HD+ LCD display with a notch for the 5MP selfie camera. On the back, you get a single 8MP primary camera accompanied by an LED flash. The Y02 is 8.49 mm thin and has a 2.5D flat frame with a matte finish. vivo says it is scratch and fingerprint resistant.

The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery that is charged via a microUSB port at up to 10W. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack on board, but it doesn’t come with a fingerprint reader, so you’ll need to use the face unlock feature to unlock the unlock smartphone without password.

The vivo Y02 comes in Cosmic Gray and Orchid Blue colors. It costs IDR 1,499,000 ($95/€90) and can be purchased in Indonesia through the Shopee online store. The Y02 will also be sold through the official Indonesian website of Tokopedia en vivo, but there is no word on availability in other markets.
