Vivo TWS 3, TWS 3 Pro With 49DB Noise Cancellation, 360-Degree Spatial Sound Launched


New Delhi: Vivo TWS 3 and TWS 3 Pro were launched in China. The lineup consists of regular, Pro and Pro+ models. They arrive as the successors to the TWS 2 series that debuted last year. Read on to know what the audio device has to offer right out of the box.

Vivo TWS 3 and TWS 3 Pro price and availability

The newly launched Vivo TWS 3 costs CNY 500 (approximately Rs. 5,750) while the Vivo TWS 3 Pro earbuds cost CNY 1,000 (approximately Rs. 11,500).

The earbuds are available for pre-order in China. Vanilla Vivo TWS 3 will go on sale on November 30. Meanwhile, Vivo’s next-generation true wireless earbuds, the Pro model, will go on sale from December 6.

Vivo TWS 3, TWS 3 Pro Specs and Features

Vivo TWS 3 and Vivo TWS 3 Pro lead the way by upgrading the levels of noise reduction from their predecessors. The Vivo TWS 3 model offers noise reduction up to 48 dB and processes sounds with a frequency of up to 4000 Hz. Meanwhile, the Vivo TWS 3 Pro models reduce noise by 49 dB. The company also says the Pro model is designed to produce low distortion with a total harmonic distortion plus noise value (TNS + N) of 0.002 percent or less.

Both earbuds are equipped with a 12.2 mm driver with a 3-layer nanocomposite diaphragm, according to Vivo. It features aptX Lossless 1.2 Mbps support, which means it can be used to listen to higher quality audio tracks.

Vivo says the earphones can play sounds from 5 Hz to 40 kHz. In terms of connectivity, both models offer support for Bluetooth 5.3 and LE Audio, reducing latency to 55ms. The models also feature 360-degree spatial audio.

Vivo’s next-generation earphones have a matching stem design equipped with facilities that double as pressure-sensitive control panels, similar to the OnePlus Buds Pro and the Apple AirPod: you can press the stem to pause and resume playback, or swipe up and down to change volume levels like AirPods Pro (2022).

Other interesting features of the Vivo TWS 3 and Vivo TWS 3 Pro models include ANC sound level adjustments that activate to match the user’s environment with leeway to enhance human speech recognized while speak to the wearer. The earbuds also feature high-quality binaural audio recording, using three microphones per earbud that are simultaneously used for ANC during calls, according to Vivo.

The vanilla Vivo TWS 3 earphones with ANC turned off offer 10 hours of audio playback on a single charge and offer a total listening time of up to 40 hours with the charging case. Meanwhile, the Vivo TWS 3 Pro earbuds with ANC clocked in at 6.8 hours on audio playback, while lasting 30 hours with the charging case.
