Télécoms : les USA ne font plus d’exception pour Huawei

Huawei is the official body for a coup of a global ban on the mobile devices of the United States.

Plus d’exception for Huawei. It’s one of the FCC’s new rules governing the authorization of mobile devices on the US march.

Pass the surprise: this change will be effective from November 2021 and the entrance of the application of the law on security devices. The signed text, among other things, a la FCC for signatory to a regulation eliminates this exception.

The quelle exception parle-t-on ? The mobile phone may use Huawei – en quatre autres fournisseurs – the marketer and commercialiser, in the US territory, the products and services entered in a blacklist. Autant dans le framework of the certification procedure which is the automatic declaration of conformity.

This is a blacklist of the Trusted Communications Networks Act of 2019. Washington published a premiere version in March 2021. This is an example of Huawei, ZTE, Hytera Communications, Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology and Dahua Technology. Motive: threat to national security.

Depuis lors, la liste a été actualisée par deux fois, sur la foi des observations de plusieurs ministères (Sécurité intérieure, Justice, Defense). Les États-Unis and ajouté Kaspersky. These are the services of China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom and Pacific Network. Rien n’a change, en revenge, côté équipementiers. For Huawei and ZTE, the general prohibition: base stations, terminals, routers… For the trois autres, the worldwide exploitation of equipment « à des fins de sécurité nationale ». This is an example of criticism of the physical monitoring of infrastructures.
