Chinese smartphone brand Redmi, a subsidiary of Xiaomi, is preparing to launch its next line of smartphones. The brand will soon unveil its Android smartphones Redmi K60 and Redmi K60 Pro. The new line of smartphones is expected to launch on December 28.

Even before the official launch of the smartphone, the internet was buzzing with rumors about the expected features of the smartphones. While the Redmi K50i was launched in India with MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC, now the brand seems to introduce three devices in the Redmi K60 series. The new devices are the successor to the Redmi K50 series that was launched in March this year.

According to the well-known tipster, Kacper Skrzypek, the upcoming Redmi K60 series will have three models: Redmi K60, Redmi K60 Pr and Redmi K60E. The tipster revealed that the devices have Socrates, Mondrian and Rembrandt as code names. The Redmi K60 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, while the Redmi K60 Pro comes with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and the Redmi K60E gets a MediaTek chipset.

The Redmi K60 will reportedly have a 6.67-inch display with 2K resolution and a triple camera module on the rear that will be topped by a 64MP primary camera with OIS. The camera module will also include an 8 MP ultra-wide camera and a 2 MP macro sensor. The device will also have a 16MP camera. The device is likely to have a 5,500mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging and 30W wireless charging.

The Redmi K50 series was launched in China in August. The lineup included Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro, Redmi K50i and Redmi K50 Gaming Edition. The smartphones were well received for their futuristic designs and high-end specifications. The base variant of Redmi K60 is expected to cost Rs 34,990.
