Xiaomi has recently started its marketing campaign for the Redmi Note 12 series in China. The company will introduce the mid-range phones in its home market next month, but fans of the series worldwide will have to wait a little longer – if anything.
While the Redmi Note 12 series will launch soon in China, the phones are rumored to hit the global market only in Q1 2023. That’s pretty much what’s expected these days: the Redmi Note 11 launched in China last October, with fans still waiting three months for a global launch. The global Redmi Note 12 event is likely to take place in January or February next year.
As with the Redmi Note 11 series, the global Redmi Note 12 lineup appears to play host to completely different phones than the Chinese model. That probably means different choices of SoCs, some design changes and possibly different camera hardware. Finally, while the Chinese Redmi Note 12 series will have at least one model with 210W charging power, that feature would be completely absent from the global models.
