Xiaomi’s Redmi has just unveiled the Redmi Note 12 series with a total of four devices: vanilla, Pro, Pro + model and a fancy Explorer Edition. The latter two are the more attractive phones with 200MP cameras, 120W charging for the Pro+ and a whopping 210W charging for the Explorer. However, the vanilla and Pro models also have their highlights. The fact is that the Redmi Note 12 series is here, but Xiaomi is not really done with the earlier versions. That said, the company is introducing the Redmi Note 11T Pro variant with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.
Gizchina News of the week
Perhaps there is nothing wrong with launching a new variant for the Redmi Note 11T Pro. After all, the device is relatively new. Moreover, we believe that for Xiaomi, the Redmi Note 12 series is not there to succeed the Redmi Note 11T series. That makes much more sense when looking at performance. Although the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ has a nicer 200 MP camera, its performance lags behind the Redmi Note 11T Pro+. The newer phone has the Dimensity 1080 which is well below the Dimensity 8100. So, Xiaomi will not abandon the 11T series until the release of the Redmi Note 12T series.
