Vivo is gearing up for the launch of a new budget smartphone. The company is likely to renew its range with the launch of the Vivo Y02 in global markets. The Vivo Y02 is launched as a successor to the Y01, which was on sale in India. Prior to the official confirmation, MySmartPrice has taken note of the launch date and design renders of the Y02.

Tipster Paras Guglani has exclusively shared the design renders of the upcoming Vivo Y series phone. The tipster also tells us that the device will launch globally on November 28. Let’s take a look at the design renders, specifications and other details of the Vivo Y02.

Vivo Y02 Design Renders

The Vivo Y02 will be a new entry-level smartphone offering from the company. It will be launched in global markets on November 28. The company is yet to confirm the launch date, but our reliable source tells us that the phone will debut globally on that date. In India, the Y02 will be launched in the first week of December. The exact launch date in India remains unknown.

Guglani also shared the design renders of the phone. It has a water drop at the top of the screen. The bezels around the screen are quite narrow, except for the thick chin. On the back is a rectangular camera module with a large circular cutout. The device has a single camera sensor on the back along with an LED flash module.

One of the posters confirms that the phone will launch with 3 GB of RAM. The device will also pack a 5,000 mAh battery. The phone is likely to have a plastic back and frame, which is flat. It contains the power and volume buttons on the right side of the phone. At the bottom edge is the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Some other details about the phone have been leaked in the past. It is said to have a 6.51-inch Halo FullView IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution. There will be a single 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.

The phone offers 32 GB of internal storage and offers storage expansion via a microSD card slot. Under the hood is a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC. The device will likely run Android 12-based Funtouch OS 12 out of the box. Vivo is said to launch the phone in India for Rs 8,449. That said, the launch date in India is unknown.
